I too had the smell of anit-freeze from my engine compartment. I took it to Nissan dealer and they (master & regular mechanic) said the same thing. The anti-freeze used in they're new cars is a totally different blend from those used in years past. It's a sweeter smelling blend. They have received several complaints about it as well as visits to the dealerships about it and there's nothing to do. It's considered the new normal and there is nothing to worry about. This is to reply to complaint filed by a owner from turlock, ca. NHTSA I.D. # 10649051 incident date: 06/21/2014 complaint date: 10/21/2014. I haven't had any problem with the vehicle since

1st issue:......coolant smell. Dealer said could not find (acknowledged smell). Topped off surge tank. Coolant still dropping over time......; reviewed: Found coolant leak on passages side (fire wall side) mid engine above exhaust 9" inches...... viewable from bottom of engine looking up between exhaust and frame line (light is required)....... cannot see source. Will need bore scope to further review........ plan to take back to dealer with info....... blue colored coolant is not staining area well...... suggest: Pressure check coolant system, this will force the coolant to drip while looking up. Sorry dealership I am a 3rd generation mechanic who works for the government........................ 2nd issue:......transaxle fluid is leaking out of weep hole. Seal is suspected of failing. From bottom view look up at transaxle weep hole, with associated oil and dirt deposits from oil seepage. Will take back to dealership........... inspection: Flash light looking under engine (center) 3' feet back any oil or dirt build up is a suspected leak (dirt sticks to oil)...... suspected down time 2 weeks for repairs....... failure to repair: I suspect and believe this might cause transaxle to fail possibly locking front wheel and loss of control issue to occur.

When stopped on an uphill in drive, car rolls backward when I step off the brake before I can step on the gas. On a steep hill, requires coordinating keeping one foot on brake while stepping on gas to move forward. Tested on an empty hill, car rolled back all the way down until I braked. Test drove with dealer's technician, he said this was normal operation "feature" of this transmission. If so, is this what I tell the car behind me on the hill when I roll into it..or the child who scoots behind me to catch the school bus? definitely a safety issue!!
