After filling the gas tank full of gas, and using the vehicle for about 100 - 130 kms, I noticed that the fuel gauge needle was not coming downward toward the empty zone.
I also noticed that the range indicator on the dash ( which shows how many kms. I can drive before hitting empty ) was also malfunctioning, as this number was also stuck & not coming down. So now I am driving a new vehicle, which does not tell me how much gas I have left in my tank, nor does it tell me how many kms I can drive without going completely empty.
This is very disconcerting....and worrisome, as you do not want to run out of gas on a highway
or in the middle of nowhere. The repairs will be done on Oct. 7,2013, @ Nissan Dealer
in Montreal. They have told me they need to replace the sending unit from the gas tank to the computer module in the dashboard. Work will be covered entirely on Warranty, but would have cost $1,000.00 + if not warranted. My Murano is only 6 months old @ 11,365 kms.
