Bought pre-owned 2013 Murano from Ed Hicks Nissan in Corpus Christi. 46k miles. During the test drive, the moon roof failed to open. "Probably a fuse or switch, we'll make it good..." Said the salesman. "I'm leaving in two days for a job across country, can it be done tomorrow?" - "Yes!" he said.
Next day - I brought it in - they said the switch was broken, needed to order it - wouldn't be available for a week. "I'm leaving tomorrow - I'll be back in two months" - "We'll make it good then" they promised.
Two months later, I bring the car in. They pull the switch, replace it. Nothing. Tear out the headliner - chasing a bad connection. Nothing. Finally call Nissan in Japan - they recommend changing moon roof motor. Nothing. Finally changed SUN SHADE motor - Ah HAH! Apparently, a safety feature will not allow the moon roof to activate if the sun shade motor is not working. Which makes sense.
They made the fix, put it together and presented me with a bill for $2k. "Oh - no - this is supposed to be a 'make good'. " The service manager turned green. Got my salesman in there - and sure enough - NO CHARGE.
