speedometer display not working

Took car into dealer on Thursday. Was told an entire new speedometer assembly was required and that that part will arrive Friday. Called dealer Friday afternoon was told part did not arrive, might arrive Saturday. Called dealer Saturday, was told deliveries are not made on Saturday, part should arrive Monday. (I was given a loaner car with a cracked windshield because when they order a new speedometer, they have to give exact mileage to be programmed into the new unit, so I can't drive my car in the meantime).

Called Monday, was told that part is out of production (the parts guy agreed this was insane) and that they need to call the manufacturer of the part in New Jersey first thing the next day. Now it's Tuesday and the parts dealer in NJ says it could be up to a MONTH before the part can be made and delivered. I took my car back and am driving it until the part comes in.

I'm confident the new part WILL fix the problem but I'm really mad that it's going to take a month to get this part. I've owned my car for 15 months and it has 15,000 miles on it. This is stupid and I can't believe Nissan doesn't have replacement speedometer consoles for 2014 models.
