The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger-??s side air bag warning light illuminated the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the passenger-??s side occupancy sensor. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: NTB16-052. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 30,000.

The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the front passenger-€™s seat air bag warning light continuously blinked which indicated that the passenger-€™s side air bag system was malfunctioning. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the air bag components inside the passenger-€™s side seat was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,500.
