Murano SL Platinum AWD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Approximate 2500 miles after purchasing my new to me 2014 Nissan Murano SL Platinum, the power steering became difficult at low speeds. Parallel parking is extremely difficult. Steering at low speeds there is absolutely no power steering. I bought this vehicle with the thought in mind that my teenagers that are about to take their drivers tests needed a dependable and SAFE vehicle to take their license tests in. However, when I pulled into the Nissan Dealership in St Cloud, MN to have it looked at the technician didn't even power on the vehicle and only opened the hood and said it would be at least $2,000 to fix as it wasn't part of the active recall. I have a back injury related to an accident. The lack of power steering at low speeds is not only UNSAFE, but also aggravates my injury.

Murano V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

I mean the car has 31,000 miles and is one month out of warranty and the power steering pump breaks? Oddly there is a recall on the power steering hoses and according to my dealer, this isn't part of it? Nissan has really gone downhill lately.

Murano 3.2L

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,200 miles

Power steering failed. It took a week to get the part because Nissan was back ordered. We had to rent a car for that week but Nissan did cover the rental. so it was a problem, but Nissan did help with making it a smooth as possible.
