The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Murano. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH on the highway, the vehicle started to shake and vibrate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the body of the vehicle thumped ten times in a row and constantly seized. The check engine warning light was illuminated. A local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact inspected under the hood and became aware that there was coolant all over the engine bay. The manufacturer was notified of the failure via email, and informed the contact that they could not assist with the cost for the repair of the engine. The approximate failure mileage was 44,830.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that an antifreeze-like odor could be smelled upon exiting the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transfer case fluid had leaked onto his manifold; he was informed that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

2016 Nissan Murano. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle speed declines- service department states driver belt issues, oil pressure and engine problems. The consumer stated the vehicle would only go 30 mph. After about two minutes, the speed started to decline quickly.
