I have had a number of occasions where I have almost hit by semi trucks hauling anything from loads of wood going to a paper mill, to trying to get on expressways, to try to get out of doctor's lots. To me this is not a safe transmission for this car at all, because when you are trying to avoid cars or trucks and it won't accelerate and you see a semi bearing down on you, or a car and to avoid a very bad crash, and they go around you very mad or literally show road rage this isn't good at all. If the transmission can not be fixed, then I will tell Nissan if I or a family member dies, or is hurt because of a transmission that is not built correctly. I will sue you for knowingly, or my family will for negligence, and knowing this for many years did nothing to correct said problem.
I don't want you to think that I am out to get Nissan, but when they knowingly know their is a problem with their CVT transmission's and a dealership knows this also then I have a big problem with the Manufacturer of the CVT and the dealership not letting us know. I believe all Nissan's dealing with the same said problem that my wife and I have to deal with should not be solved by another CVT transmission unless they have fixed the problem, not just add miles under warranty, but either fix said problem for good of every individual, or individual's of every nation where these Nissan's have been shipped, and sold to.
My wife and I cannot afford to loose our lives, and our children's lives, or our grandchildren's over this. Either fix the problem on these transmission's or give the owners a check for the cost that a Nissan dealership would charge for the transmission and installation of not one, but two. When I hear that one lady has had 3 transmission's replaced this should never happen ever by no car manufacturer selling car's to dealerships, not just in the U.S.A. but whatever nation they are being shipped to.
Update from Jan 14, 2020: As you know my 2017 is still doing the same thing. If any type of crash results because of this CVC, that puts ourselves in danger, or causes an accident to occur because this problem has not been fixed, and I took it to a Nissan dealership called North Nissan. They said it could be to tire wear, or to take off the slippery button. I had new tires installed 1n late 2019 at Discount tire the best M+S tires Michelens. I paid over 800.00 for them and the warranty and taxes made it 1,042.00. I guess my next move is to go where I bought the car in Chattanooga, TN
