The rear tires are wearing out on the insides and cupping. When you stand at the back of the van and look at the tires you can clearly see they are leaning way in at the top. The front tires are lined up properly but the back are obviously way out of alignment. When I first took it in the dealer at 6500 m said they where in "spec".
Now at 15,000 miles the tires are all worn and cupped and a different Nissan dealership says the rear axle is all out of alignment and the tires need to be replaced. So back to the original dealership, this time they put it on a rack and checked it. Their equipment shows only one side not right and they cant change it. It may need a new axle or hub but Nissan cant approve it yet. It may be two or three days before hearing from Nissan. There spec is way off and I believe they know it. These rear wheel are so far off you don't need a machine to tell you.
I will follow up when I hear back.
Update from Dec 17, 2014: Nissan says this is in spec. No tire should run at this angle.
Maybe the problem isn't the tires?

I took my NV200 to Napleton Nissan in Riviera Beach fl. to address the cupping of the back tires. On my first visit I was told to rotate my tires everything looks correct. I was also told to inflate my tires to 35psi in the back and 32 in the front? The second trip to Nissan in Riviera beach I was told that I needed an alignment and to rotate the tires again. This time I showed them the sticker on the door stating the tires need to be inflated to 48psi in the rear and 44 in the front. On my 3rd trip to Nissan in Riviera Beach they told me the tires in the back need to be replaced because of the cupping and that it was due to me refusing to rotate and align the tires.
I called Nissan consumer affairs and told them that the tires cupping has nothing to do with with the alignment or rotation. They have something wrong with there vehicle that is eating tires.
I hope this is notice to all.. Nissan does not understand their own vehicles and will not stand by them when something is wrong. I don't care that tires are not covered. If you have a design flaw that creates a problem with the tires you should state that problem to the consumer when they purchase the vehicle.

Van is on 9 months old. 14k miles. Right rear tire will NOT align acording to manf. specs. Dealer says.."Can't be fixed..Frame problem"..?? (OK...lets replace it with one that does NOT have a frame problem. Now the left rear has cupping. Really both sides, but the left is the worst.
Dealer says.."It's because you have "weight' on that side..HELLLOOOO...it's a work van with work shelves to store parts. While I have not confirm this, but have been "told" you can only get these special tires from the dealer..YOU know what that means? $$$$$$$
Dealer thru me out today because I dare to tell him that this has to be fixed and they could care less...
Thinking of selling the van and getting something else.. A Ford...God help me

Feel like I have been ripped off. Called Tire Rack for a comparable tire, but they said if there was an accident related to the aftermarket tire brand, insurance would not cover it. So, I am stuck with these JK Tyre American Cargo tires, which cost $600 to replace, and are only available at Nissan. One tire almost blew out from the odd wear patter, another started to have the same issue. These were both rear tires. Even though tires have been maintained properly the tread is almost down to 1/8th of an inch after 18,500 miles. A normal tire should last about 40,000 miles.

Rear tires cupping. Dealer says it due to not rotating tires. I say BS. Yes rotating tires would give more even wear but would not stop or prevent cupping. Apparently the shocks are too stiff or too weak. I cannot get anyone to address the problem as no after market shocks are available at this time for this vehicle. If anyone has had this problem please let me know what was done to remedy it. I'm at wits end to get this resolved.

There is an inherent suspension problem in the NV200 design and Nissan should live up to it.
