NV200 SV 2L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

I own a small business. We are a cleaning company. I was so happy about this vehicle when I purchased it in 2014. It’s all lettered and looks great. Engine trouble - nope. It runs great. I like everything about this van but could never recommend it to anyone EVER!

We put tons of miles on this vehicle. I also put tons of tires on it! I’m so tired of buying tires for this vehicle. I've tried all different ones that fit this car and have the proper load rating. We rotate them. We make sure the tire pressure is perfect. It doesn’t matter!!!!!! I've had 2 blowouts in the past 6 months. I’m almost afraid to drive it now. Nissan needs to step up to the plate and admit there is a problem here. So many people post similar complaints. We need a class action lawsuit!

1st time I ever had to replace the tires on a new vehicle with only 25,000 miles on it. these tires must be made out of pencil eraser rubber because when I looked at the full size spare they give you, it's unbelievable. and all 4 were worn out evenly. American Cargo are the worst tires for life and for road grip. They slide and spin in wet weather.

NV200 VAN 1.5L

  • Manual transmission
  • 22,000 miles

The tires wear way too fast on the rear and Nissan say they have never heard of the problem.

The van is good but be prepared to pay for the rear tires

The service and support from the manufacturer is one of avoidance.

  • Automatic transmission

The tires that Nissan uses for the NV200 SUCK! The front tires are totally bald with less than 16,000 miles on them, and we drive locally on residential streets, no high speed stop and go. When we contacted dealer, Pine Belt Nissan, in Toms River, they basically said find the tire distributor and take it up with them. No help whatsoever.

I will never go to Pine Belt Nissan again, as they have known about this problem but conveniently forget to tell you about it when considering a purchase. To top it off, they are an off size, so you have to go back to Nissan and have them replace tires, and they are the same crappy tire!

Nissan should be ashamed for skimping on something so necessary - someone could have a major blowout one day, and not even realize that the tires are defective!

THESE TIRES ON THIS VAN WORE OUT AT 10,000 MILES. WHAT SH*T WILL HAPPEN NEXT. CALLED THE DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THE NISSAN NV 200 VAN TIRES WEAR OUT USUALLY AT 10,000 TO 12,000 MILES. WHY IN THE F*CK DIDN'T THE SALESMAN TELL ME BEFORE I BOUGHT THE VAN. THE TIRES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE. DO NOT BUY A NISSAN NV 200 VAN.

NV200

Rotated every 5000 miles when we changed the oil. We've put a lot of miles on it since October BUT the tires are wearing unevenly - outside wear and generally completely worn out at 20k. My tire guy will put another brand of tire on it, probably skip the sensors since they'll not work anyway so I'm not going to have to pay the $700 for the next set everyone else is talking about.

Everyone is right though. THIS is an unacceptable expense for a small business owner. WTF is up with proprietary tires anyway? I'm not one to conform with a single solution that costs me a lot of money. I'm going to do whatever is possible to circumvent it. Uniroyal or Yoko's for $350 a set is my way of doing it. Just hoping they'll wear more evenly. We'll see.

NV200 SV

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,200 miles

Nissan really screwed up on this one. I drive my van for my business - dog walking and training - and on a normal day add about another 800 pounds to the load, but the driving I do is below 30 miles per hour, and about 60 miles per day. American Cargo, the tires that came with the vehicle, have worn out at just 22,000 miles. Worse, I am unable to get a different, higher quality brand because of the size and load (mostly the size is the issue). So I am stuck with purchasing four new tires every year! Not an expense I was aware of when I purchased the van.

The Ford Transit Connect is starting to look more appealing!

NV200 4

  • Automatic transmission

Tires are serious safety issue on this car. Tire pressure doesn't hold and wear at 5,000 miles is AWFUL. Discussed with a friend who has same issue and we compared. Burning rubber smell when car is driven any distance, tires will need to be replaced by 10,000 miles if they make it that long!

My uncle was chief engineer at a auto company in Michigan.....he would have said- they need to take this back to the drawing board. I believe this has potential of being a serious safety issue
