The contact owns a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the front plastic head lamp cover had become fogged, which caused the headlights to illuminate very dimly. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 175,000. The consumer stated the damage to the plastic assembly was caused by hear of the head lamp and the inability of the plastic material to withstand intense heat. Updated 12/14/16.
