Pathfinder LE V6

I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder LE. Love my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder LE. But a few months ago, I was on a highway on my may to work and turning and my car began accelerating - on its own. Yikes. Got to work, put my car in neutral and the engine just revved all the way really loud and crazy. Turned the car off, put it in park and went in to work a bit shaken. That afternoon, everything seemed fine.

A few days later, it happened again only I couldn't stop my car. Every ounce of my enlarged body was pressed as hard as it could on that brake pedal. I had just gotten on the highway on my way to work. I swerved off the highway into a parking lot hitting a couple of wooden pallets and slowed it enough to put it in neutral once again to stop the vehicle. Called AAA to come tow the car. So shaken up, missed work that day and was able to get the car to the dealership in Auburn MA.

About $1,500 later and the car was 'fixed'. A new throttle body control and some other minor maintenance.

This week, my car began doing this again. This is COMPLETELY AND INSANELY SCARY!!! My car is just accelerating for no apparent reason. I will not drive it anymore. I am now driving my husband's Chevy 2500HD while he is driving our son's F250. My son is not driving anything.

This is a M-A-J-O-R Big Deal. I could kill someone or be killed driving my Pathfinder. What is going on????
