While driving to a funeral, I tried to come to a stop only to realize I couldn't. My brakes weren't working and I had to rely on the Ebrake to stop. Putting the car in park it started to rev really high. I had to shut the car off. I also couldn't move the transmission out of park. It was stuck. I had to jam something in the hole next to it to get it to shift. Once I made it to my destination a fellow family member took a look at the engine. He said it was my throttle cable and it was stuck. He showed me how to fix it temporarily until I could make it home, In another state. Thankfully I wasn't alone but 2 women dressed very formal was a sight to see under the hood everytime it did this, We made it home safely but not after stopping more times than I care to for my friend to jump out and mess with the throttle cable so it would rev at the proper rpm and for my brakes to work. I will be taking it to the mechanic tomorrow. Very scary when your car drives on its own and doesn't stop.
