problem #2

May 012014

Pathfinder LX 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 86,000 miles

Car was shutting down while driving on the highway. Brought car ti Nissan Dealer in Brandon Florida. Was informed the Cam shaft and Crank sensors had to be replaced at a cost of $1100 not under warranty. Just another in the line of problems and recall with his vehicle that NIssan fails to acknowledge as their fault for poor vehicle design. DO NOT BUY ANY NISSAN PRODUCTS. THEY LOVE YOU THEN LEAVE YOU WITH EXPENSIVE REPAIRS.

Pathfinder SE 4.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 130,000 miles

It started out with a squeal, then the rattle of Death. $1600-2000 to have the car fixed by the dealer.

There's a class action law suit going on now with Nissan stating they knew the problem existed and went out of their way to make sure it was fixed under warranty. Parts from the Nissan TSB to fix the issue is about $200-$300, the rest of the money is cost of labor.
