QUITE irritated. This Pathfinder has been nothing but problems. from the coolant leak issue, (Nissan replaced the tranny) to the accelerator position sensor (also replaced). I have never had a car with so many problems in such a short time.

A few months ago, I noticed my check engine light was on. I didn't pay it much mind until it was reset and came right back on. The code stated (all 3) of the vehicle's catalytic converters were bad and it prevented my vehicle from passing state emissions inspection. I started researching costs and at the dealer it is astronomical! My vehicle only has $80,000 miles on it and a few mechanics stated I shouldn't be having these problems at 80,000 miles.
Since I do not have over $3000+ to get the vehicle fixed, I am not sure what to do! Apparently Nissan has not called a recall so I am not not happy about that! It's apparent they do not stand behind their vehicles so I will not be a returning customer!!! Also, I would like to know how to go about initiating the process for a vehicle to be recalled.

There should be a recall on this or an investigation into why this failure is happening , and the service people
just say pay 3500 for the converter or buy another car

Nissan dealer reports there is #3 converters on the pathfinder. I only replaced 1. The cost of the 2nd one that needs to be replaced shortly is approx 1100.00.

Second cat failed. One side went out 10,000 miles ago (under warranty) and now the second one failed 9000 miles out of the 80,000 mile warranty. Nissan said they will pick this up but I'm hung with all the rest of the $4500 in repairs this creampuff needs. What a POS. Never again Nissan. GMC will get my next $60K in about 3 months.

This is my 3rd set and Nissan will not do anything about it. Every 70,000 to 80,000 I am replacing them.
