Bought this vehicle on 11/19/2016 and it started shuddering on 11/21/2016. Tried for 5 days to get a hold of the dealership who basically said if it isn't a recall then there is nothing we can do since we didn't buy the warranty which would have added 30 dollars a month to our payment--couldn't afford it. Also, he said he isn't aware of any problems since they are not a Nissan dealership--he wasn't helpful at all and really didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. Reading the post on here about the problem--I would never have bought the vehicle as I cannot afford to fix it.

Did not know that 2007 Nissan Pathfinders have a history of transmission problems. Mine started to slip took it in to the shop my mechanic said if he took it all the way apart would cause more issues and will cost $5,200.00 to fix. Telling everyone I know that this is a terrible vehicle to own. I've had multiple high dollar issues since I bought it in 2007.

I have read today that Nissan neglected to tell their customers that there is the potential for cooling fluid to leak into the transmission and cause significant damage or failure. I understand that Nissan has offered to compensate owners who experience this problem but do not know exactly how to go about commencing this issue with the local Nissan dealer and if in fact there is any truth to this matter with regard to compensation. What do I do and what is going on with this issue and is there any official recall and official compensation to this problem? Thank you for your time and effort to rectify my Q&A.
