The 2007 Brake parts - Front pads and rotor were discovered when I had to replace the brakes at 37,000 miles with 20,000 of those miles being highway. The 2007 pads are smaller and the rotor diameter is easily 1.5 to 2.5 inches smaller. This may account for the premature brake wear given that the vehicle has a V-8.
Please note that there is no V-8 listed for 2007.
The vehicle was purchased from a Nissan dealer in August 2008 and I am the original owner.
The concern is that more parts may be from the 2007 design meant for the lighter smaller engine and there may be a safety issue. Furthermore, I missed the original recall on the front end collar weld and my passenger side front wheel suspension collapsed causing the vehicle to veer into a park car with total damage of over $25k in 2010.
To me this is an amazing example of careless irresponsibility of the part of Nissan. I intend to pursue this further.
