problem #1

Mar 172017

Pathfinder V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

So my car just shut down and wouldn't restart. No reason, had jumps and nothing. Had it towed to the nearest mechanic and within two days he called and said the engine computer module went. Also, told me that the warranty on the part was unavailable because it was 8 years or 80,000 miles. It's 2017 and the model is 2010 however, my car has 90,000 miles. So i'm not covered.

Then to the worst part, he ordered the part from the dealer Colonial Nissan who assured him it would be in in two days. However, in two days the dealer found that the part was on a massive back-order. SO, I called 1800 Nissan and guess what they said I would have to wait for the part to come in and since I did not go directly to a dealer I would get no assistance with a rental or loaner vehicle. Also since I did not go to a dealer they couldn't offer any assistance on the expensive part. I'm through the roof because had their part not been on back order I would have had my car back in two days.
