Sun visors on both driver and passenger side, have problems and keep falling down. It is a known recurring issue with Nissan, and it blocks vision of the road ahead, as well as when they hang down, it causes head injury thrust against the edge of visor. The dealership confirmed that this is a known issue yet Nissan has not issued a recall for this, it is a safety hazard. The visors will not stay up in place, and they fall down just enough to have the hard edge of the visor directly in front of the forehead, causing injury and impeding visibility.

Sun visor does not stay in place and droops and obstructs view when vehicle is in motion. This obstructs view and may cause a crash. The same happens to both driver and passenger side sun visors. A quick internet search shows the problem to be prevalent.

Both sun visors on the drivers side and passenger side will not go up and hang down due to a defect. This blocks the visibility of the road and poses a safety hazard as if you were in an accident the person would get injured by the visor hanging down. This problem has been mentioned online by many Nissan owners and Nissan refuses to cover. I received an estimate of $430.84 to get them replaced. When I noticed that my visors were like this was when. I picked my car up from the Nissan garage as they were fixing a mechanical problem. I tried to push up and they would just fall down again. Nothing I did to cause this.

I am experiencing failures on both of my sun visors after very light use. They flop down and obstruct my vision while I am driving causing a safety and visibility concern. After doing research I have found that this is an extremely widespread problem with this vehicle. Nissan charges an exorbitant amount for this replacement part which deters consumers from fixing the visibility issue and further exacerbates the safety concern.

Pathfinder

Driver side visor has fallen 2-3 inches and passenger side has fallen 4-5 inches. This is a complete safety hazzard for visibility and one could be seriously injured should they have an accident as an airbag can not protect them from faulty interior parts of this vehicle. We noticed a slight issue just after purchase in 2017 and the issue has gotten increasingly worse.

Sun visors will not stay up in the retracted position, obstructing windshield visibility. Plastic parts for retaining sun visors are broken. This is with very light use. Both sun visors started malfunctioning around the same time, which points to a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear. Many people on the internet are complaining about the same issue.

Problem #1: several instances where the unit loses acceleration while in motion (driving) or when trying to accelerate from a complete stationary at a light. I press the pedal to accelerate with no response, cero acceleration. In order for me to get acceleration back I have to park and put in on parking and try the pedal again. I have taken my car to Nissan where the diagnose can't be determine because the lack of warning signs on the control panel. The unit did not show the condition at that moment and they were not able to replicate it. After taking the unit out of the mechanical workshop, a warning sig was revealed as follows: P0603: Internal control module keep alive memory (kam) error. I called the workshop and they told me no recalls were claimed for that reason (error code). Problem #2: the warranty was over (36months) and both visors went permanently down. They were replaced at my own cost. Problem #3: the brakes lights are keeping on even when the unit is off. This is making the battery runs out!

Our Pathfinder has been recalled twice for passenger side airbag malfunctions. Despite having been "repaired" on both occasions, the airbag light started flashing. Nissan is now informing us that the entire airbag system is defective, yet they maintain that this issue is unrelated to the prior recalls and as such, have refused to cover the cost of repair. In addition, the visors on both the driver and passenger sides have broken and are sagging, impairing vision during vehicle operation. In researching solutions, we have discovered that both issues are common complaints for drivers of our specific model Pathfinder, yet Nissan seems to be doing nothing to fix these recurrent defects.
