This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Nissan dealer.
It's not cloth, not leather, something similar to velour. I've just noticed the fabric wearing thin in many areas, armrest, inside door handle, drivers seat. Haven't talked to the dealer yet about this. At this rate, the interior will look 15yrs old in 3yrs. Disappointed with this car.
This isn't the first problem.

Ok here we go again.................took the vehicle because the cloth material was wearing out on the driver seat and the second row. Nissan Weston FL ordered the replacement covers but because I could not get there within 2 weeks as they said if I didn't they would ship the parts back. Well needless to say, the idiots sent the replacement parts back. Customer service sucks and did I mention the vehicle sucks too. Yeah several times.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder - This car has been NOTHING but trouble. We bought it at Moore Nissan, which was a terrible dealership (now Benton Nissan), . After we took it home, we saw there were holes cut out of the 3rd seat and the foam was coming out. The seats are black cloth, which looks like a dogs bed after about 2 years. The hood of the car looked as though it would flip up and we took it back. The dealership said that is how it is supposed to be. It still looks like it will fly up. In 2018 it was recalled for the transmission. I took it back and the dealership said they "re-programmed" something in the transmission. Not sure what. The Air Compressor went out on the A/C, another $1100. Then in March of this year, the first week, the transmission stopped engaging. We had to pay $4600 to have this fixed. Now the gas pedal doesn't work. We can press the pedal as much as we want and the car does not go. It's only been ONE WEEK since we had the transmission replaced. When I took this to the Nissan place to have the Transmission fixed, I reminded them that I had brought it for a recall the previous year. The car only has 123k miles on it. The transmission should NOT go out on a Nissan with this few miles. None the less, we had to pay. I will NEVER buy anything else from Benton Nissan, and never ever plan to purchase another Nissan.
