Pathfinder SV V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,000 miles

2013 Nissan Pathfinder - This car has been NOTHING but trouble. We bought it at Moore Nissan, which was a terrible dealership (now Benton Nissan), . After we took it home, we saw there were holes cut out of the 3rd seat and the foam was coming out. The hood of the car looked as though it would flip up and we took it back. The dealership said that is how it is supposed to be. It still looks like it will fly up. In 2018 it was recalled for the transmission. I took it back and the dealership said they "re-programmed" something in the transmission. Not sure what.

The Air Compressor went out on the A/C, another $1100. Then in March of this year, the first week, the transmission stopped engaging. We had to pay $4600 to have this fixed. Now the gas pedal doesn't work. We can press the pedal as much as we want and the car does not go. It's only been ONE WEEK since we had the transmission replaced. When I took this to the Nissan place to have the Transmission fixed, I reminded them that I had brought it for a recall the previous year. The car only has 123k miles on it. The transmission should NOT go out on a Nissan with this few miles.

None the less, we had to pay. I will NEVER buy anything else from Benton Nissan, and never ever plan to purchase another Nissan.

Pathfinder SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Occasionally, car will not accelerate when pressing on the gas. This can be extremely dangerous pulling out into traffic. Although there is a recall on this for SOME 2013 Pathfinders, mine doesn't qualify for the recall. The quoted price to repair - $4,000. Shame on Nissan!

Pathfinder S

  • CVT transmission
  • 65,000 miles

The transmission will not engage. When we pull out to accelerate in traffic, the car doesn't accelerate, forcing us to pull off the road. This really is quite frightening. We took it in and they identified a problem with the transmission. They replaced part of the transmission to fix it.

We just had the transmission replaced because it would not engage. We have only had the new transmission for 2 weeks and the same problem where it will not engage and the rpms fly up happened just like the one that was replaced. I am so frustrated there are not words to express. I wish we had not bought this car. Because of these problems the resale value has dropped a ton, we are underwater in its equity, and we are stuck with a dangerous vehicle.

This car is dangerous. We have had problems for years and the dealership finally agreed to replace the transmission. The car would not accelerate beyond 30mph and my wife was forced to pull over before getting hit from behind. This has happened many times.

Pathfinder LE 3.2L V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 62,000 miles

Vehicle will not shift out of Park. Nissan dealer was contacted and this is apparently common because the service rep was able to advise on how to unlock the transmission and get it out of Park. Vehicle was then driven directly to the dealer and when placed in Park, it locked again. If it something so common that service rep's can tell you how to unlock it why are they charging me $850 to fix something that should have been handled with a recall.

I am so pissed at myself for buying this piece of junk. Car won't accelerate while you are driving. Took this to the dealer because it is still under warranty and they are saying everything is fine. I have a toddler and pregnant wife and they are expecting to drive this when I know the SUV stalls. Imagine driving on highway and suddenly the car stalls. Why is Nissan not taking ownership. I need help on how to get this issue resolved.

Don't buy or else you will regret

Pathfinder S 3.5L V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 61,000 miles

So it happened already twice. it happened randomly while driving. Car just lost all the gears. You would press on accelerator and car would barely moved just rev high. It felt like it had only one gear or something. It happened around 61K miles exactly 30K after first transmission was replaced at around 31K miles due to extreme jerking and loss of power. This time again Nissan claims they never heard of the problem and they cant replicate it. I am so aggravated and annoyed with this. This is our family hauler and we feel extremely unsafe because there is no rime or reason it does that. It happens randomly and in heavy traffic. This is my first and last Nissan product!!!

nissan should not wait until death happen.

When accelerating from a complete stop the vehicle would shudder and struggle to get into a higher gear. The car would go slower than it should based on the pressure applied to the gas pedal. Notice this shuddering when when I make a left turn and I almost got hit by incoming car I saw from a very safe distance from me to make a left turn as my pathfinder stop in the middle, tried to push the gas pedal down to the floor but car just dont move.

The vehicle has failed to accelerate four times now. I push on the gas, and it acts as if I have thrown it into neutral. Twice, it has been situations where I could have gotten plowed into by on-coming cars. This car is HORRIBLE! The transmission has already been replaced once in the first year and has since "inherited a hiccup" according to Nissan. This latest thing has me afraid for my life!

Pathfinder

  • CVT transmission

Lost all power when driving. Came out of a parking lot, making a left. Pushed on the accelerator and nothing. The car just rolled. Fortunately, I was able to turn into another parking lot. I pushed the accelerator all the way to the floor and nothing. It was scary. If I had been getting onto the freeway, I could have been in an accident. This happened 3 times in one day. Brought to Nissan and they said it was stop relay. They replaced it. I have had 2 reprograms, 1 new transmission, brought car in 3 times for airbag issue and now the stop relay! What is next!

Pathfinder V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 45,000 miles

The transmission will not engage when I press on the accelerator. I can press it down all the way the the RPMs do not go up and the car does not accelerate. It started only a couple of times but is now doing it more frequently and every time I drive. If I were to pull out to merge into traffic and the car did not accelerate, there could obviously be a problem. I cannot predict when it happens and when I performs as it should.

Very scarey experience when you are crossing 3 lanes of traffic and you step on the gas and the car goes nowhere while traffic is nearing you. All of a sudden after a frantic pump of the gas peddle the SUV takes off. I sincerely regret buying this car and have other numerous complaints to continue writing about here. Stay tuned, this vehicle sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
