First the driver's side sun visor broke and would not stay up. I thought well I will pick one up from Nissan if not covered under warranty. They wanted over $125 for one visor. This is not even the visor with lights?!
A month later the passenger side broke! I had to take them both down so that they were not flapping all over as we drove. This becomes a safety issue no matter if you leave the sun visor hanging down flapping around or if you remove it as the sun will blind you! I finally ordered a pair on ebay for $80 dollars.
I cannot believe this has not resulted in a recall as it is definitely a safety issues.

Both visors have broke. Thin plastic covered with material, metal device inside turns against plastic way to much pressure for such cheap material. That popping noise is a sign that of the pressure it has on the rotation device. Took apart old visor, what great engineering, not possible to last. No more Nissan, seat cover keeps coming unhooked, door trim came loose, cargo door bumpers broke off, roof rail seals replaced, cowl covers to wiper arms under hood fell out laying somewhere on some road, all this started after 5000 miles.

The second visor I will have to fix on the car. The part is $200 and not worth $50 because its made of cheap plastic. The visor hangs down right in from of my eyes and could break my nose if I had to stop quickly. The car is made so cheaply. Will never buy Nissan again. Very disappointed. Never had this problem with my Honda, Hyundai, Toyota.

I purchased a 2014 Pathfinder in September of 2014 and the drivers side sun visor will no longer stay up, it has been getting progressively worse over the last several years. I have searched online to see if this was a known issue with Nissan and apparently it is but Nissan is not taking any ownership for the faulty equipment.
My husband is over six foot tall and he cannot drive the Pathfinder at all anymore because it obstructs his visibility unless he ducks down to see underneath the visor...that is ridiculous.
I continue to receive marketing materials making me offers to trade in my 2014 Pathfinder for a new 2019 Pathfinder but why in the world would I ever even consider purchasing another Nissan vehicle with such obvious shortfalls with basic functionality.
Take ownership of your product defects and fix the safety issues. Most Corporations look for customer loyalty, recommendations and repeat customers but apparently Nissan is focused on one-and-done customer interaction.
Very Disappointed.

Cheap manufacturing. The cost of $200 means this stuff should be solid, but its not. This has happened to both visors. My Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai have not had these problems -- ever.

I've owned many vehicles, bought a few new and some used. In the 25 + years I've been driving, I've never come across a vehicle where the sun visors break. Wear and Tear is one thing, but I rarely used the visors. Usually have sunglasses and I'm at work before sunrise and headed home after dark. Both visors pretty much stopped staying up at the same time. Very annoying to say the least and extremely disenchanted with Nissan that will do nothing about it. Obviously a bad design or a defect in the manufacturing process.
Took to the dealership for a quote, wanted almost $300 per visor to replace?!?!?!?!?! Out of control, huge safety issue in my opinion. I'm not cheap but refuse to pay $600 for something that should never have even been an issue. I just got some Velcro strips to keep them up, $5 cheap band aid for now.

Visor won't stay up or in a locked position either. Will require replacement. Multiple complaints on this as well. Definitely a safety issue.

I noticed the clicking when ever I would lower the visor on the driver's side. One day I got in the car and it had dropped all the way down. I thought I had left it down but when I attempted to put it up it was in fact broken and would not stay up. I think this should be added as a recall because this is a defect. I didn't do anything to cause this problem but now I'm out $169.00 to correct it. Of course I had to get it fixed in a hurry it was very annoying and obstructing part of my view when driving.-:( This really sucks!!!

Have complained to the dealership, they wanted $175.00 plus labor to replace. Said there had been a lot of complaints, to call Nissan Corporation and see if they would cover it. They turned me down flat!!!

They need to recall this problem and fix it! It is very expensive to get these replaced and the automobile it's pretty new to have this problem!

I haven't posted pictures, but I will add to this complaint. I noticed it when I started hitting my head on my visor when it was supposed to be back in place in the up right position. I am unable to see the road when the visor is down to keep the sun out of my eyes. I noticed the passenger side one is starting to hang lower than normal too. Guess I should of realized what was happening when the mechanism inside of it pops when I close it. I thought it was just how it worked.

I feel that if Nissan has this many issues with the vehicles and the dealerships know, then they should put out a recall for this as a safety concern.

This is my 2nd time reaching out to Nissan to see if the issue that I mentioned as part of a customer satisfaction survey regarding a sun visor issue. Both visors started by clicking whenever its put down. Months later the driver side visor totally broke. I have removed it for now as it was obstructing while driving. It should be a recall due to the amount of people that have the same issue. Both visors have the same issues. I am sure the passenger side visor will eventually break just like the drivers side. I believe this should be a recall.

The Sun visor broken and is hanging at the front. This is a manufacturing defect as both the Visors, the one in the left and right are broken at the same location. Company needs to rectify this by replacing it.

this should be a recall, it is all over the webs as an issue and it is dangerous to drive if the visor falls down at any given moment. the plastic inside cracks and the visor will not stay up.

I bought the car in March 2015. Both visors began slipping down to block the view out the front window. I had to resort to putting duck tape on them to hold them in place. Very attractive in a new car. I called 2 local Nissan dealerships here int he metroplex. My call was never returned. I bought a new visor for the drivers side to replace that one and had it installed by a body man.

Super irritating issue, when I bought the car, I noticed the clicking every time the visor was used. One day just one loud click and now it dangles in my face. I took it down and took it apart to see if I could fix it. I could not believe how cheap the parts were inside. Just the tiniest piece of garbage plastic, holds the visor up and in place. Way to go Nissan, use cheap parts on the one thing that comes between my face and the windshield. Safety issue for sure!
