This problem started in 2014. The dealer tried various methods of determining the problem. At one time their computer had some codes which suggested a throttle problem. This made no difference. The dealer could not duplicate the problem. A later fix suggested by the tech department was to replace the brake lamp relay. This was done with no change in the problem, The relay apparently sticks, doesn't this suggest that the part needs to be redesigned? No other suggestions have been forthcoming.
One site suggested that the camshaft sensor might be a problem.
Update from Jul 19, 2015: one suggestion was to check the camshaft sensor. That was looked at but was not the solution.
