Pathfinder

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

I've had my Pathfinder for 3.5 years. I drive a significant amount, as I have a commute to work. I've put 85K miles on my car in those 3.5 years. I shelled out $43,000 for the "nicest" car I have ever owned. It was Nissan, it is supposed to last. The cooling fan, which is a known problem evidently but will probably never make a recall, was over $900 to replace. I'm less than impressed with the quality and durability of this vehicle. It also needs the $160+ each sun visors replaced, because they were made with cheap parts that break and the visors will no longer stay up on their own. The factory installed roof rack leaks, and the weather stripping needs replacing. I have logged complaints to both my dealer and Nissan corporate with ZERO response. Not even a form letter to say we hear you, go fly a kite. I will NOT purchase another Nissan.

Pathfinder SV V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 39,100 miles

Bought this Pathfinder lightly used, most likely a lease return. Within a week noticed turning on A/C or Heat creates a lot of noise and makes the car run really roughly. Turn it off and the car runs fine. Is this common with Nissan's as I've never owned one and am not sure I would buy one again? Never had a problem with my Chevy, Honda, Acura or Toyota. Headed to a dealership today to see what's up. Disappointing after buying a barely used ride that should have lots of life left and no issues.
