Pathfinder SL V6

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SL in Jan of 2019. About 2 days I noticed a horrible sound from underneath my hood. Come to find out it was the cooling fan assembly. The passenger side fan was wobbling when I turned the A/C and Defrost on. It was a plastic on plastic rubbing sound. It was determined that the bearings went out in the fan. I seem not to be the only person with this problem. My vehicle has less that 50k miles. This seems to be an issue with this part.

Pathfinder SV

  • Automatic transmission
  • 89,000 miles

Started making a klacking noise like I had picked up bad gas. Clacking got worse after a day. Fan motor would not turn off when engine turned off. The bearing in the fan motor went bad causing clacking. Had to replace the entire fan motor assembly. Not a cheap fix and not under warranty.
