Pathfinder Platinum 3.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 73,260 miles

While the miles(73,800) were within the 84,000 extended warranty, the age of the car was over the specified 7 year, 84,000 warranty. Original owner only averaged driving around 8,500 miles per year. Probably the reason why transmission didn't fail sooner.

I'm the second owner of this car, bought it on Friday August 23, 2024 and transmission went out on Wednesday August 28, 2024. I drove it less than 200 miles. Nissan denied any financial assistance to replace the transmission since the original owner had not serviced the car with a Nissan dealer.

I had no idea the CVT was a piece of crap, but after it failed discovered all the complaints. Nissan should have recalled and repaired all the transmissions. If a public warning had existed I definitely would not have purchased it.
