During PA Inspection Nissan dealer measures brake pad wear. Pathfinder has 15400 miles, 85 percent highway driving. New pads measure 12/32. My front brake pads measured 11/32 but back pads measure 7/32. Spoke to service manager, asked what exactly do back disk brakes due? Told and then confirmed at Nissan back pads pulse rapidly keeping Pathfinder from nose diving when stopping. Ask than how can back pads be almost half worn out and front pads new. No answer that made sense. Could not get Nissan dealer to tell me if there was still a balancing valve in brake system. In older cars there was. Dealers could balance your brake system so brakes were used equally. This is only one of the on going problems with the Nissan Pathfinder. Back brake pads wear out at approximately 20 to 25 thousand miles. On my 2013 Pathfinder (had same problem) traded in on 2017 with 66,000 miles front pads measured 8/32, had to replace back pads three (3) times. Can get no help from Dealer or Nissan.
