The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
Radio/cd/dvd is on and displayed on the monitor however, no sound can be heard from speakers. The problem does not occur while driving but, after the motor has been turned off for a period of time. When this occurs, I've found if the engine is turned off and on several times the sound will work. The problem has no predictability. The dealer has not observed the problem yet. They did admit that there has been issues with the am however, this occurs with fm as I don't listen to am.

- White Plains, NY, USA
Radio/cd/dvd can be "on" but, no volume heard from speakers. Intermittent problem with no predictability. Dealer has observed, but cannot reproduce. Radio module replaced to no avail.
- St. Louis, MO, USA
Radio fails to receive on the am band. Two trips to dealer required to resolve, with the second requiring extensive time online with Nissan technical support. Situation apparently rectified by adding a new ground on the radio circuit.

The automatic transmission will not down shift. When the consumer was pulling onto the freeway, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The cause of the failure was undetermined because dealership was unable to duplicate the problem. When the sun shined onto the dashboard, the reflection reflected onto the windshield and caused an obstruction and distraction to the driver's view. The correct model year 2004. From the park position, the consumer was unable to go up an incline. The transmission did not engage to low gear for the power to move up the hill. The consumer had to back down the hill. The radio would get static when going over bumps, and the driver's side lower panel was coming apart.
