: the contact stated while driving 30 mph and when depressing the brake pedal, a scraping noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer, who replaced the front and rear brake pads and rotors. The manufacturer expressed that the brakes were too small for the vehicle. Updated 2/12/2007 - the consumer had an 1993 Quest for 11 years. He explained that the 2004's brakes are softer than the 1993 model. The 2004's brakes are the same size as the 1993 Quest eventhough the weight has increased by almost 1000 lbs. The 2007's brake size has been increased.

2004 Quest minivan in for front end judder/vibration (6/04)@ 2000 miles-rotors cut same complaint(12/04) @ 7300+- miles-rotors cut and pads replaced same complaint(10/05) @ 15000+-miles-dealers states that rotors and brakes are needed and not covered said that because it's a heavy vehicle considered normal to replace pads @ approximately 8000+- miles and rotors as well. If there is no problem why cut rotors in 1st place, and then again with pad replacement in less than 6 months time frame" and now a 3rd occurrence "
