Quest SE 3.5L

One day the instrument cluster gauges and indicator lamps including mileage, fuel level air bag stopped working. Some of the signals would only partially come on and work, example fuel gauge digital display would display every other or third squares and thought out driving it would change. It was hard to tell the fuel level.

After replacing the instrument cluster it did not resolve the issue. When I took the instrument cluster off and putting the pressure on the board connections some of the gauges would work so I left the tooth picks in spots to put the pressure so I can see at least mileage and fuel level. Air bag light was still on.

After I talked to Nissan repair shop about passenger air bag light he told me that they have do diagnostics $140, and from what they can tell, they might need to replace "air bag gelatin pad" and or EMC or one of the control modules. If they have to replace "air bag gelatin" they have to replace entire passenger seat $2000. Really disappointing with overall quality of the vehicle which made it unnecessary over-expensive.
