Quest SE V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Hi everyone commenting on Nissan Quest. I have an 05 Quest SE, the best model they make I think it was about $40,000 when purchased new. I have had nothing but trouble out of the transmission and motor mounts, they are so defective that Nissan should be extremely ashamed of themselves.

This is the lowest I have ever seen out of a vehicle manufacturer. The jerk was so bad that when my wife pressed the gas in a parking lot, the motor revved then engaged the transmission and squealed the tires right into another vehicle costing us $2500. All because Nissan sits back sippin' coffee. What if that was a child it happens so quick there is no control of where it goes the motor is quiet and you can't hear it rev very well and it will go up to about 3000 rpm then engage transmission into 1st gear causing it to burn tires and take off violently.

This is a very serious problem folks, please report your Quest problems. This is the only way to make them do something.

Quest K 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

I changed the mounts (all 4 of them) when the car had 75.000 miles. I am driving around 10.000 miles per year and I am not taking the car through mountain roads or rough terrain. Now at 130.000 miles I was told that the mounts need to be changed (between a whole series of other problems). It is not normal for the motor mounts to go bad this often. I used to have a Honda Civic 1992 with 200.000 + miles an never had this issue. This is definitely the first and only Nissan car I will ever get!
