problem with shifting, low power while driving, no reverse
For years I have been driving Nissan cars, and no problems other than normal wear and tare. On this mini Van Quest its my first issue with the transmission, and I have to have it replaced. Very costly and based on the information I have researched, a very High percentage of 2005 Nissan Quest, Nissan Maxima and Nissan Altima, this problem exist and nothing was done about it by the company or any recall. Not happy at all. I think this problem could have been prevented if a recall was issued. Now I am being accountable for replacing the transmission at my cost. Very disappointed.

Look like it is a defective transmission from Nissan. They are not taking care of their loyal customers. I hope this complaint will help to fix the problem of too many customers unhappy like me.

Was on vacation in North Carolina from Kansas and the transmission went out. Without the use of the van to get around for 5 days. Thank goodness that we were with family. Losing faith in Nissan and their reliabilty.

Mechanic knew what it was as soon as I told him. He described my problem when I said it shifted funny. Said it was common with that transmission.

This is becoming a real problem and it seem to get worst. If there is anyway that someone can help me with it I would appreciate it. This is my only car that I use to take my daughter to and from school.
