Nissan Quest 2006 sl 40,000 miles my shift lever stuck in park even though I am pressing the brakes and they told me at the dealer to use a screwdriver to override the shift which I think is a hazard or to replace the total shift. But I told them its a manufacture defect and they have to pay for it. Also like to mention that they have a very bad customer service. This is my 2nd car with Nissan I use to have the 1999 Quest. But I will never buy Nissan cars any more.

We have a 2006 Nissan Quest with 85,000 miles on it. For a while we have been hearing a whine when we accelerate. We have been told that we will need to replace the timing chain for about $2,700. When I started to research this it seems like this a common enough issue that it needs to be looked into. Timing chains should not have any issues till atleast 200,000 miles.

The fan under the dash which blows the air through the front vents has stopped functioning after making odd noises. The fan controlling the air flow in the back passenger section works correctly.

: the contact stated while driving 15 mph through an intersection, the engine stalled without warning, and would not restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who determined the cylinder head needed to be replaced. After the replacement, upon attempting to start the engine, it would not start. The contact charged the battery, and drove the vehicle to the dealer who determined there was a loose battery cable. Afterwards, there was a rubbing noise coming from underneath the vehicle followed by an electrical odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to await further inspection. The manufacturer was alerted. The second time the incident happened, the consumer was told a bag had attached itself to the motor, but offered no reason as to why the vehicle was shutting off. Every time the vehicle shuts off, there is an electrical smell. Updated 12/1/06.
