The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Quest. While driving 65 mph the contact drove over a small object and punctured the fuel tank. The dealer stated that an identical failure occurred on the Nissan murano, and was remedied by placing a shield on the fuel tank. The dealer inspected the vehicle, and replaced the fuel tank. The current and failure mileage were 3,500.
