In 2004, Nissan knew of this problem and brought it to the attention of the mechanics in the dealerships via a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). Nissan instructed the dealerships to make "goodwill adjustments" to help with this issue. My Nissan Quest is a 2007, so they knowingly continued making vehicles with defect issues. They knew about the defect and hid the issue from consumers.
I contacted Nissan North America and they refused to give any good faith financial assistance to help with the replacement and repair.
I am stunned that a car manufacturer is allowed to knowingly build a dangerously defective vehicle and is in no way held responsible for the repairs and / or damages.
