This Nissan Quest was purchased brand new three years ago and has 50k miles on it. Everything has been working fine, until yesterday afternoon the AC suddenly starting blowing warm air. It is 100 degrees outside. My drive home from work was miserable. I got quotes and opinions from three separate shops and got the same diagnosis from each. The AC Compressor had internal mechanical failure, meaning they not only had to replace the Compressor but also the Receiver Dryer. All 3 says they've never seen an AC Compressor fail on such a new vehicle. They recommended I give the dealership a call to see if they'll do anything about it. I called the Dealership to see if there is anything they can do since this seems to be a rare circumstance, but all they said was "Sorry, your basic warranty ended at 36,000 miles. There's nothing we can do." I've owned 3 Nissan vehicles, but will never purchase another Nissan Quest again. Likely will not purchase another Nissan vehicle.
