My 2015 Nisson Quest with only 16,600 miles had the transmission fail. Last night coming home noticed that at low speeds the van had not pick up and would hesitate. Driving it to work this morning with my daughter in the van, we stopped at a major intercection and when the light turned green the van had no power. Moved forward at 10 miles an hour and in about fifty feet it engaged and started to accelerate. I got to work with not additional issues. When I went out to lunch I had not issues getting home, but when I was returning to work the no power and hesitation happened again. I called the dealership and took it to them. Once again at a stop light I went to go and had not power, but this time the rpms were pulsing between 1 and 3 but was not moving more then 10 miles an hour. This is a very big issue as it could cause an accident. It did stop and let me get it to the dealership. They looked at it and told me the the tranmission, all of it, is damaged. They did proved me a car to drive as they must keep it and send information to Nissan. This is the CVT transmission. I did see that some of the other Nissan cars and SUVs are having issues with this transmission. The dealership was very suprised that it only has 16,600 miles on the Van and this happened. This could be a deadly issue as if you lose the power and you are on a interstate or busy road you could be hit. Someone hitting you at 65 miles an hour and you are movint at 10 will not have a good outcome.

Our 2015 Nissan Quest with 47500 miles on it started making a bad noise on Sunday 3/26/18, and hesitating, I was driving with my 3 kids back from a short trip. It was a horrible sensation to not know if I could make it home safe with my kids. Took it to Nisssn to check it out on Monday 3/27/18. I got a call today to tell me that the radiator gar a leak into the transmission. The transmission is out. I need to replace the transmission, and Radiator. Total repair cost almost $6000.
They submitted a claim under warranty, which was turned down by Nissan because it was not the transmission that fail on it's own. But, provoked by the leak by radiator, which is not covered under warranty. I purchased this vehicle in Aug. 17. And, cannot believe that Nissan is getting away with not fixing this known issue on their faulty radiators on many of their vehicles. I cannot afford the 6k to fix it. So, I don't know what I will do.
