The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. While driving approximately 30 mph, the hood unlatched on its own and caused damage to the front end of the vehicle. The contact pulled the vehicle over and closed the hood. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the hood, two front fenders, and support mechanisms. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.
