My car will start, slowing down while I am driving. I called Nissan on several things concerning this car. Nissan has not had a recall on their 2008-2010 Rogue yet. 2008 is the 1st generation of this vehicle. I have had engine cradle problems, control arm problems. These car makers need to be held accountable for their product.

Takata recall, the Nissan I purchased from fuccillo Nissan in latham, New York, was defective with every issue, however Nissan refuse to honor any recalls. Their most recent extended warranty, indicates a replacement of the evap canister and tubing, however upon arriving at the Nissan dealer he told E my car was old and it only covers the tube. The Nissan manufacturer is a joke, I dealt with a woman who literally failed to inform me that Nissan never reported that I was the new owner of the car. Hence last year my car literally rolled backwards while I attempted to drive up hill, right into traffic, potential to be a deadly accident, noting the variety of complaints I believe that their waiting for someone to die. Fucillo Nissan refused to replace the transmission, instead the sealed it. Two weeks later the same thing happened on the highway, and of course they refused to fix it trying to explain, how a cvt transmission works, and then he went as far as saying I have to get used to it. Nissan is a joke and as long as they could get away with selling defective cars and not honoring their very own recalls they will, billy fucillo needs his licence snatched, their a bunch of crooks, whom are dangerous to the public.

While driving at various speeds the car will just stop going. The car will still run just will not move no matter how far you push on the gas pedal. It will eventually kick back in and work. You never know when it will happen there are no warning signs. No lights come on dash either. This was a used vehicle purchase and has always done this from 1 month after purchase till now. Started at 180000 miles but as miles went up it has gotten more frequent.

Itakata recall:bought the car in July 2016, and everything that can go wrong has, of course it's trial by error, this car had and still has every defect there is. I bought this car from I was not notified of any problems or was my VIN number posted in any event we were on our way to lake george, traveling at a speed of 70 when all of a sudden my car decelerated, flooring got us know where, literally there was traffic everywhere, I put my hazardous lights on and was finally able to get over to right side of road. On another occasion I attempted to go up a hill and while in drive the car just rolled backwards, service engine light came on, perhaps a week after getting my car serviced and multi car inspection. I took the car back, lady at the desk informed me there was a crack in the cvt, they sealed it and replace transmission fluid, she also went to say if it still gives you problems then we will replace transmission while a few weeks later it decelerated again. I have brought the car back to fucillonissan three times, the service man stated I had to wait until the service light on, what he really meant to say is we are not going pay over three thousand dollars for a new transmission, or wait for the extended warranty to expire. The tire pressure indicated light has came on since I bought the car, which is also a defect, and repeatedly informed them, just filling the tires up and reset the buttons prior to me owning this car it was serviced for emissions defect, their website indicated that they merely reset the button, but the fact that are hazardous fumes don't even direct them to look for leak. The gentleman from Nissan said was resolved, pushing a button, just like they did with tire pressure sensor. Nys adhere to one hand watches the other, hence they would place a recall, I just hope an inexperienced driver go through any of this.

I started to experience problem accelerating or switching gears with my car. I purchased it used in 2010 and had no problems with it until two months ago. I travel long distances (averaging 300-350 miles) every other weekend and one afternoon, while on interstate 80, I noticed that it wasn't shifting and the speed remained at 60mph. The rpms went up past 4 and I had to pull over in fear that it would make things worse. I turned off the engine and prayed before I went back on the highway. It worked fine that day. It happened again about 3 more times and every time I would pull over and turned the engine off, it seemed like it "re-booted" itself. But 2 days ago, it didn't. I was on interstate 70 East on an uphill and the vehicle's speed remained at 40mph. I had it towed to the nearest Nissan dealership and was told that it would not be assessed until Monday (tomorrow). I did some research and it seems like there are plenty of problems with the cvt transmission. My son has a 2010 Nissan Rogue and he had a transmission problem which was replaced under the warranty. I have over 170,000 miles on it and I am sure it will not be covered under warranty. This just shows that I will never purchase a Nissan vehicle again.

I discovered recall R1421 a few weeks after this vehicles engine caught on fire. The entire car was destroyed by the engine fire. My daughter was driving home on a highway and luckily was able to pull over and get out safely. The car was purchased through a reseller of preowned Nissan's and this never should have happened.

I was driving on I-5 from los angeles traveling about 65mph. I had been driving for about 55min when my vehicle RPM's started to increase and my mph's started to decrease. I tried to push the gas pedal down to accelerate but just the RPM's would rev up and car kept losing speed. I had to pull over various times and let the car sit while off for about 20-25 min before I could drive safely again. This only lasted for about an hour at the most before I would have the same problem again and have to pull over to let the car sit for a while. Also I checked all fluids when I pulled over and everything was at optimal level as required. The car was not over heating either.

Important: If you have a complaint about your transmission, acceleration problems or loss of power you need to also a complaint with the federal trade commission (ftc 877-382-4357) regarding your dealings with Nissan. I just spoke with the ftc and they told me that while they don't respond to individual complaints if they see patterns they do. The only way we will get Nissan to respond to us is by complaining about their business practices as well as their safety issues. These dealerships and corporate Consumer Affairs know that until enough of us complain to the right people and stop just paying for Nissan's known problems with the cvt and other issues, they will keep giving us the run around. I have to put my 2nd transmission in my 2008 Rogue in 12 months. Nissan tells me my last new transmission (April 2014) was out of the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Their business practices are horrible. These cars are unsafe and putting people in danger. Please make your voice known at the ftc as well as here. Tell others to do the same. We deserve better. For the past few weeks, my gas gauge has been reading incorrectly and when I would go to fill out the vehicle, it would never show completely full. In some cases, I would turn on the vehicle and it would read sufficiently less than what was in the tank and then climb back up to what I assume was the correct level. My last fill up, the gauge read 3 bars left of fuel and I pumped 14.5 gallons of gas at the station which is exactly my gas tank size. I then looked online and discovered several other people with the same make, model, and year and other models were having the same issue but no good fixes appear to have been found.

The car will be at a complete stop and you will press on the gas pedal and it will not accelerate, you can floor the gas pedal, and it will have very little reaction. In addition, when this issue is happening all your lights stop working so the person behind you does not know you are not at a complete stop. This is not a consistent problem but you never now when it will happen - it's like the car goes into this amnesia stage.

Was returning from trip North Carolina back home to Tennessee once about hour away felt car just start slowing down car wouldn't accelerate when pushing on gas. Was able to get to right hand lane and get off interstate just before car went to a crawl. Car was making whining noise while trying to move car from highway. Car came to stop and unable to move again. Had car towed back to my house sent to shop to find out that transmission had malfunctioned. Doing research on transmission found out the Nissan rouge is using cvt transmission and that Nissan extended the warranty to 120K or 10 years. My research also found out that other Nissan owners of Rogue and muranos were having issues with cvt transmission. When I found out that about the warranty I called Nissan consumer care to inquire about this. I was told my model and make qualified under warranty and that mileage didn't matter. Nissan decided not to assist me with repair and replacement of transmission. I tried to tell Nissan about letter that stated they would decrease cost even above 120K. They refused to do so. I had no warning sensors that there was problem with transmission. This could have been a bad accident if the transmission had of went out during heavy traffic. It appears reading about other owners experiences with cvt transmissions that Nissan doesn't want to own up to having a faulty transmission. Even speaking with mechanics from outside and with Nissan that this transmission is faulty and many have issues and complainants about it.
