Problem 1: I always put my purse on the passenger seat, and the air bag deactivation light turns on on the dashboard. One day, I took the purse off yet the light did not turn off. Ever since then the airbag light has been on. The car has been fixed by Nissan since then for another recall, but the airbag was not fixed as they said it was not a recall. When I took it to Nissan to access having them fix the issue last year, they said I would have to pay about $600 out of pocket. The year it occurred was 2014, and the car has not been driven much since then. Problem 2: The left rear door's handle simply broke off in my hand last year. When I took the car to Nissan to see if they stand behind their handles staying on cars, and would replace it, but they gave me an estimate upwardsnof $600 to repair it. Problem 3: The gas guage does not read properly, as I found put when it ran out of gas yet the car was reading a half full tank. Repair estimate for this issue was about $600. Problem 4: The tires always read as flat, even when taken to get filled by a professional. Nissan's estimate to fix this issue was approximately $600. I was informed by Nissan of the Avenues (Jacksonville, Florida) that there are recalls for EVERY SINGLE ONE of those issues for the 2008 Nissan Rogue, but just not for MY specific vehicle.

After driving roughly two hours on highway in stop and go rush hour traffic, our 2008 Nissan Rogue lost its ability to accelerate and the RPM would go only slightly above 2000. There were no dashboard warning lights. We pulled over at a rest stop and turned off the engine for ten minutes but the problem persisted. We had to get off the freeway and take back roads out of concern for our safety. We reached our destination, the then car sat for several hours and behaved normally for about an hour on the way back, but then the problem recurred. We only drove short distances for the next month, but on our next long drive the same thing happened again. Our mechanic found no engine codes and does not know what is causing the problem. This all happened only about 3000 miles after we had a new OEM transmission installed. For over two months, we have been unable to take any long trips with this car out of concern for both our ability to complete the trip and for our safety as well as the safety of others.

I bought Rogue on the 17th of Sept, 2021. 5 days later something in front on passenger side made noise and my steering wheel went to the right. Mechanic said it was rack and pinion that came loose. It was 2 miles after I got off freeway. I could have killed someone! Or myself.

We took the vehicle into vavoline and they told us that the car's transmission pan is almost rusted out and we have a 4 major leaks under our vehicle so bad that the block under the vehicle and the front axel is wet from the fluid leaks. We bought the car two days ago and brought it back to return it today because we were not told about any of these issues and they told us we were not going to get our money back. Even though it would not pass a state emissions test with all those leaks and she not have been sold to us.

Opened my car, started the car, could not get out of my car. The doors would not open. Had to get out through the trunk area. Tried to open/close the car door with the key, the car locked and unlocked at the same time. The vehicle was stationary. On a city street.

After 1hr driving on highway speed drops to approx 50mph altho speed odometer needle stays 60-70mph; RPM at 2 1/2 does not move. Pedal to the metal no reaction. Once approach slower traffic area, speed to like 40mph car drives ok. Told it is the failsafe for overheating transmission!!

I have just recently noticed a bad vibration with my Nissan. It shakes like your driving over rumble sticks. Even when your at a full stop and give it some gas the rumble effect happen right away from a full stop. Idk, what the problem is. Please help! once you get up to 30 mph the vibration goes away. Slow down make right/left turns boom the vibrations of the rimble sticks right there. Something is wrong.

I got this car from my daughter in May. This problem started in June, stopped for a while & now in winter (January) it came back & is getting worse to the point I won't drive on freeway anymore. Decelerates at freeway speeds combined with jerking motion. Also does not always accelerate (dogs out) while pressing on gas from complete stop or trying to accelerate in slow traffic causing cars behind to slam on brakes.

The gas gauge is not working properly. I have researched the issue and found multiple complaints of Nissan owners with the same problem. Below are some of the issues we recently purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue and noticed that the gas gauge is off. Even with a full tank of gas, the gauge will read the tank as below the full level. At times it will show the tank as 3/4 or 1/2. other times it will show the tank at a full level when it shouldn't be, for example, 85 miles driven on a full tank of gas. I would think that should register at least one notch below the full level. It will constantly go up and down on the same tank of gas. Has anyone else had these issues? I am having the same problem. I fill up the gas tank and it only reads 3/4 tank. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times. The last time they admitted there is an issue with the sensor. They replaced it, now I fill it up and it only reads 1/2 a tank. And it never said when it was low on gas, my wife ran out of gas on the interstate and it still said she had 1/4 tank. They say they will replace it again. My AWD Rogue was purchased new in 2008. Wife drives it exclusively. December 2011 mileage turned 16,000 and gas gauge level failed to register full on fill-up. Now at 16,500 miles and have to fill tank to over-flow level to assure it's full. Contacted dealer since there is a tsb on issue and quoted $888. For sender/sub-sender unit and labor. Filed a complaint with nthsa on 1/9/2012. Registered complaint with Nissan North America. Nissan states: There is no active campaign or recall for this problem. Will never buy another Nissan. This is a defect and warrants a recall.

2008 Nissan rouge transmission cvt should not have been built while driving at top speed car shuts completely down or revs up very high. Very serious matter should remove all 2008 off the streets someone will get hurt no matter the year or mileage it's not a safe vechiele!
