Air bags are common problem. It can be googled. Ours stopped working. When braking the steering wheel shakes bad. Got fixed and came right back week later. Common problem. O2 sensor needed changed cause when slippery road indicator comes on car won't accelerate over 25 mph. Have to cut engine off wait for seconds and cut back on and its fine. Oil leak is where everyone online said there's is. There should be recall on these things it hurting environment n dangerous for drivers on the road.

SRS air bag light was on, called dealer, light stayed on, CVT transmission has issues, electrical problems while driving, car will decelerate and stop without warning. My safety is at risk everyday, the car can stop at anytime without warning, airbag deployed. The dealership has not found any problems that they are willing to be accountable for. The vehicle has not been inspected before or after accident. Check engine light was on, transmission was replaced twice at my own expense. SRS light was on before accident.

Censor light came on making the vehicle unsafe to drive and unable to be inspected and the manufacturer said it's a known defect with the sensor but is not under recall so they are not under obligation to repair. Estimated costs to repair $3000. They said for year 2013 and beyond it was covered by a recall but not for my vin number

Front passenger air bag warning light remains on in instrument cluster and dash board located near passenger seat. 2012 Nissan rouge was inspected by local Nissan dealer technician and determined the seat sensor is defective and must be replaced. The diagnosis cost $130. Repair cost in writing totals $2,400 to replace sear cushion. This seems excessive, as it is a passenger safety issue, is it covered by recall? this vehicle is a 2012 model purchased in November 2011.

The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the passenger's side air bag sensor warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to gainesville Nissan (3915 North main street, gainesville, fl 32609, (352) 505-8760) where it was diagnosed and it was determined that the air bag sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 122,586.

The airbag light was flashing so we took it to the dealer. The passenger air bag stays off even with a person in the seat. They stated it is the occupancy sensor and wanted over $2,000 to fix it. I had the Nissan extend warranty which they said it was not covered. I called Nissan and they said my 2012 Rogue was not part of any of the years for the occupancy sensor that were recalled. If there is a recall for the same reason, why would this not be covered" why if the sensor fails it would default to keep airbags from working". Nissan customer service told me it was pass the 3 years /36000 so they would not repair it.

My mother purchased this Nissan Rogue new in 2012. Now the airbag light is on, we're being told that none of the airbags inside the vehicle are working. South austin Nissan where we purchased the vehicle refuses to assist my mother, unless she pays a great deal of money. Nissan corporation refuses to assist, they just refer me back to the dealership. So many of these airbags have been recalled, therefore why is my mother having to pay a large amount of money. Same issues as the other year models which have been recalled. My mother is driving this vehicle with no airbags. Respectfully, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

2012 Nissan Rogue. Consumer writes in regards to an issue with passenger side occupant classification system. The consumer was informed the airbag sensor was not a part included in the airbag recall repair; therefore, needed to be repaired independently. The consumer inquired as to why it would not be included.

My side-seat passenger airbag sensor - located in the passenger side seat - keeps turning off. This sensor has been recalled for 2013 models. Was told by dealership that its not under warranty - or recalled for 2012 - and the cost is extremely prohibitive and exorbitant since it cannot be fixed unless you purchase a new seat for $2,600. This sets up for an extremely dangerous situation if involved in an accident. The vehicle only has 44,000 miles and there have been thousands of complaints filed for the same make and model of vehicle.

Airbag malfunction light is on, dealership tells me they don't know what it means, just that it should be replaced. Could mean that my airbag will not deploy, could mean that it will deploy randomly. My warranty did not cover it, Nissan will not fix it. It is $1300 and I have another huge problem with my car: My transmission is going out for the second time and my car is at 102,000 miles. Warranty covered it the first time, just ended in July and I am told that Nissan only covers new transmissions for 1 year or 12,000 miles. This car is a lemon. A transmission should not go out twice in 100,000 miles. An airbag malfunction should be covered, this is my safety.

Code: B1018 passenger side occupant classification error. Seat had to be replaced. My family's safety was at stake. Dealer quoted $2962.06 and they notified me the seat is on back-order. That amount is ridiculous and prohibitive for my family. We had my mechanic work on it the 1st time and he recalibrated the seat. He came back a second time but did not charge since it was the same code and it happened a day later. We opted to fix the issue by replacing the seat with a part from a salvage yard as it was less money. I am concerned about the safety of my family! the very first time I noticed the restraint system light was during a 5 hour drive (7/8/18) but did not know what it was until I looked it up after the trip. I was appalled that Nissan would not fix something that was clearly manufacturing defect and that I put my family at risk. I also believe this issue is why the seats are on backorder. I am sure Nissan is aware. Please see pictures.
