This is the worst vehicle to ever buy. I have taken it in so many times. I purchased it brand new in 2014, there was only 2 Rogues left, mine had only 12 miles on it. When it was covered under warranty, the service department kept telling me that is just how the transmission is. They fixed one other issue but then it broke 5 months later. I have had my car in and out of service and stopped taking it to go get fixed because newer problems kept occurring. Now that I have been out of warranty for a while of course the issue on the transmission is even worse and I am not forking out $3K for a new one. NISSAN shouldn't sell piece of SH*T engines and NISSAN should pay for it themselves.

The 2013 Nissan Rouge is simply garbage when it comes to transmission quality. This car never had as much as an engine light turn on while allowing the transmission to overheat and go to absolute garbage.
Are you experiencing any loss in acceleration? Are you driving long distances and all of a sudden you find your car unable to accelerate or go over 3k RPM? Do you find your car losing speed going uphill? If you do you can guess that it's your transmission overheating and broken. If you turn your car off for 15 minutes or less even you will be able to hit the road again without many problems as transmission has cooled down but don't worry it'll come back again worse and worse.
If you have any symptoms from above you're going to need a new transmission very soon. It happened for the first time at 55K miles and went away after 15 minutes of driving. I thought it was weird but couldn't replicate it. Now the car has 71K miles and it happens simply after being on the road for 45 minutes. There was no warning and no diagnostic that could have shown what was going on. BEWARE!

I have the extended warranty, took the car to the dealership where I bought it. (which is a honda dealership)
The transmission is not shifting properly, it will go up to 6000 rmps before shifting in the next gear. this happens when driving more than an hour. 1st they wanted me to take it to a nissan dealership, (there is no out of pocket if I take it back to where I bought it.) They took is out for a test drive and said there is nothing wrong with it. and then proceeded to tell me that it needed to have the transmission fluid flushed and change, and for me to take it to a Nissan Dealer ship.

I purchased this car in March 2013 and I'm already having transmission problems, will not pick up speed when trying to pull out & jerks, which is unacceptable. The people at the dealership are very rude and basically told me it's not their problem... so today November 4,2014 I'm having my truck taken to see what's the problem. I was told it would be $108 just for a diagnostics test and I told her that that should be in the warranty, she was very rude..... I will give an update after we leave the dealership.

1st time it popped into reverse I was at an atm machine, since then it happened 7-9 times. Twice I was injured. Nissan has looked at it once and said there's nothing wrong, But how can you be at least 6 or 8 steps away when it suddendly goes from park to reverse. I'm very displeased with the way nissan is handling this matter.

Purchased vehicle about 6 months ago, used. Our son drives about an hour each way for work. Pretty sad having to replace the transmission with as low as 70,000 mile on vehicle and Nissan isn't owning up to compensating owners for the failure on their part. Buyer Beware of Nissan Rogues.
