Rogue SL 2.4L

While driving in town, slowing down at an intersection, all systems shut off, except the lights and the engine. I pulled into the nearest parking lot, no power steering or brakes, I was able to get the car in park. I could not exit the car as all electrical systems were shut off. However, the engine was still running and the headlights were on. Police had to help find the manual key lock so I could get out. Car was still running. Had the car towed, it was still running.

Dealership did not run diagnostics on the car while it was running with system shut down. They then decide without any computer data that the problem was the TRIM on the vehicle shifter causing the harness wiring to malfunction and therefore causing the whole electrical system shut down, but have yet to explain how that works or happens. Repair part is not covered under the extended warranty as it is TRIM. TRIM with a cost of 528.00, before labor and other add ons. Extended warranty company policy is the premium policy.

I want answers: how is TRIM responsible for system shut down. And if it happens again on major highways or other high speed traffic situations? Nissan has been contacted, with no response as of today. Dealership is not helpful, service manager just says OK OK OK, and none of this is OK. Extended warranty company attitude is too bad so sad. All of it is a pure scam. Next call: State Attorney General office.
