engine won't turn over, won't start engine won't turn over, won't start

The battery died 1.5 weeks ago. I drove out of state and when I went to get in my car after work, the car wouldn’t start. I called AAA - they tried to jump start it but that didn’t work. It was towed to the nearest Nissan Dealership and they had 3 master techs working over 9 hours to find the problem. They never found the root of the problem, but the ECM, BCM, and TCM are no longer talking. At one point they got their code reader to read, and the only code coming up was a transmission code. However, they said that wasn’t causing the computer components to not work/respond.

I’m now having to purchase a new vehicle as the cost to replace these 3 modules plus put a new transmission is more than double what the vehicle is worth. Even with these repairs, they aren’t even sure that it would fix what is going on.

All of a sudden one afternoon, my car would not start. Lights, windows, radio etc would turn on, but the engine would not turn over. Gave it a jump, and ran to AutoZone to have the battery tested. Battery was fine.. Alternator was not charging at 100%. Charged it overnight, and had no problems for a couple days. But the rest of the week, every day it was dead/wouldn't start by lunch. Had to jump it again.

Vehicle is just over 2 years old, bought brand new, and had just hit 41,000 miles. So of course, it's out of the dealers 36,000 mile warranty, and alternators are not part of the power train warranty...It's just odd that it went out so soon, and a car that has so much electrical components, there isn't a better warrant.

I went to leave work at 11:45pm and the car wouldn't start. I stepped on the brake and pressed the ignition button and heard a click but it would not start. All the lights worked but several of the warning lights were lit. The time was wrong on the screen. Attempted several starts but that just caused the brake to stiffen and eventually stop depressing. The car was towed to the shop and the computer told them to charge the battery. The battery was charged but still would not work. They then replaced the battery and that resolved the issue.

I purchased this vehicle in August of 2015. Three weeks after purchasing this car I started having problems with starting the car when I turned the ignition. I would turn the ignition and the car would not start. I would have to turn it to the off position and start it again. Sometimes it took three or four times to start the car.

I have had this car four months and have been back to the dealership at least once a month to the service department since purchasing the car. So I thought I was getting a reliable car by buying a Nissan. I am soooooo disappointed with Nissan consumer affairs whom I contact to try to get a replacement vehicle and was denied. Poor customer service Nissan. If a car s defective, you need to make it right.
