Rogue SV V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 43,656 miles

MY CAR REALLY STARTED ACTING UP IN DECEMBER 2018 WITH ENGINE LITE ON STEADILY. SERVICE TECH SAID I COULD DRIVE IT AS LONG AS IT WASN'T BLINKING. I WAS TAKING CARE OF HUSBAND AND JUST LEFT IT ALONE. THEN IN JANUARY IT DIED AT A CORNER IN TOWN WITHOUT WARNING.

AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES IT STARTED AGAIN. DROVE IT HOME AND PARKED IT. CALLED DEALERSHIP; THEY HAD TO CHECK FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE-- MILEAGE 43656. WE TOWED IT IN SUPPOSEDLY IT WAS THE CVT THAT NEEDED TO BE CHANGED.

MESSAGES SUCH AS "CHASSIS SYSTEM CONTROL ERROR" BLINK ON DASHBOARD AND ENGINE LITE WAS ON. THEY SUPPOSEDLY DROPPED TRANSMISSION FOUND NO DAMAGE. THEN CHANGED CONTROL TRANSMISSION MODULAR. PICKED UP CAR DROVE IT HOME AND IT BUCKED COMING HOME BUT NOT HARD. I PARKED IT AND THE NEXT DAY DROVE IT WAS OK.

DECIDED TO GO OUT OF TOWN FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND IT LEFT ME AND GRAND KIDS ON THE SIDE OF INTERSTATE. HAD IT TOWED AGAIN TO DEALERSHIP ON THAT MONDAY. NEXT DAY PARTS WERE ORDERED. THEN THEY WERE LOST. TECH CONTACTED ME OF THE PROBLEM ON THE FOURTH OR FIFTH DAY. A RENTAL WAS GIVEN TO ME.

NEW PARTS CAME IN IT WAS REPAIRED ON THE DAY I WENT TOO GET MY CAR, IT SHUDDERED OUT ON THE PARKING LOT OF DEALERSHIP. THEY CHECKED KEYPAD BATTERY. GOT IT STARTED. TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE. IT WAS OK. SIX DAYS LATER IT LEFT ME ON THE ROAD AGAIN. BUCKING, HARD TO PUT IN GEAR. THEN WOULDN'T START AT ALL. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP. STILL WILL NOT CLAIM THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE.

Rogue

  • CVT transmission
  • 200,000 miles

This happened three times in quick succession. The dealer blamed this on faulty gas. While this affected thousands of cars. Nissans seem to be affected much more. The x trail/rogue seem to have been affected more.
