Check engine light came on. Took to dealership. They performed diagnostics. Told me the transmission was failing and needed to be replaced. Also said that the catalytic converter was failing too and needed to be replaced also. Didn't have issues with the car up to this point. Researched and saw that Nissan had issues with their CVT transmissions including the Rogue model and year I had. This was the second time a transmission failed on a Nissan Rogue that I owned. If there is an issue with the transmission why are they allowed to still sell it? A bad transmission can cause an accident when driving or in reverse. Needless to say I was pretty much forced to sell this on a trade in for a new vehicle. It's thousands of dollars to repair/replace and no guarantee that the transmission they put in will work properly either. Your agency really dropped the ball on this. This issue has been going on for 2 decades already. I would like to be reimbursed for it. I know that's not your agency's job but you should be much more diligent on these issues. Consumer lives are at risk not to mention the huge cost of repairing/replacing a transmission. Nissan is getting a free pass on selling defective vehicles to the public.

My fuel gauge does not regard fuel consumption nor measure fuel at all. I do not have any idea if I am on empty or half fuel. Fuel indicators just quit functioning and will cost me over $1,100 to fix. The car is 6 years old and only has 50,639 miles.

My car started shaking while in reverse and slow to shift gears while accelerating at about 60K miles I took it into multiple Nissan dealerships and they told me there was nothing wrong with my car. I took it in again at 80K miles and they told me that I was on the way to needing a new transmission at 80K! and they had seen lots of other cars like mine but the warranty just lapsed. Now at 98K miles my check engine light came on and I had the code ran to find out it is the transmission. Another side effect is my gas mileage has dropped to about 20 miles to the gallon highway.

Driving on interstate at approx.70 mph, and cruise control kicked off by itself at least 3 times. Then all of a sudden I lost power, it was not like a out of gas loss, it just slowed down. I had the gas pedal floored to maintain speed as I was traveling at 70mph in heavy traffic on interstate. I moved to the outside lane to avoid any chance of an accident and took the next exit to turn around and go back home. When I got onto the entrance ramp back to the interstate, it took me about 1/2 mile at least to get up to speed again. Since I got back home everything appears normal but I am afraid to travel any distance in case I should loose power again I have had the vehicle put on the computer monitor and they say nothing is showing as wrong. During this exam I was told that if the engine warning light never came on the computer check would not show anything. At no time during the power outage did the engine warning light or any warning device show up.

Vehicle has stalled and would start but not accelerate after filling tank. The engine starts but hesitates then dies. This repeats for at least three times and then the vehicle starts and drives normal. This has occurred at least three times after filling fuel tank in the last year.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. While driving 25 mph, the contact felt hot air entering the cabin of the vehicle from the air vents. The contact also heard a gas release and an abnormal noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was an unknown leak, but the failures could not be duplicated. The vehicle was also taken to another repair shop where it was diagnosed that the vapor core needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 40,000.

Costco gas station permits me to pump my own gas. When I do now pump the gas, I lock the pump at the handle and the gasoline flows in, but the last 2 times the gas pump shuts off the gas flow prematurely and gas is spilled. And the hose and end fittng (since about a huncred miles ago) this creates a gas spill with every try.

While making a turn the car stalled and would not accelerate. I pressed on the gas and the car would barely move. I was able to get it off the road. I then parked and turned the vehicle off. I waited a minute or so before starting it. I did try to put the vehicle in drive and attempt to drive with the same issue. I put the car in park while letting the engine run. Waited another 5 minutes and attempted to drive the vehicle again. This time I was able to drive the vehicle, however I am concerned there is an issue. I no longer feel safe while driving this vehicle. This happened in a major intersection
