I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue that has a vibration when you reach between 30-40 mph, and the interior vibrates at idle. When I first felt it it was just a feeling on the steering wheel and gas pedal. But after being turned away and having to drive t vehicle the vibration got to the point that you could then hear the vibration.

After being told that what I was feeling was normal and there was nothing I could do I then took it to two mechanic they both told me that it was the torch converter. They also suggested calling Nissan Corporate. They suggested taking it to a different Nissan dealer to have it diagnosed. I did and they came back and told me that they were 98% sure that the vibration was from the transfer case. Once the dealership replaced the transfer case I took it for a ride, and the vibration was still there, I brought it to the service manager attention and he told me that it was because it was CVT transmission and that it was normal.

Well after doing research and going out and test driving 3 other Rogues I know for a fact that its not normal. I also found that Nissan has files paperwork about this same issue under a TAB NA. 15-08A.

At this time my 2015 Nissan Rogue is still vibrating and working towards getting this fixed. if anyone has had this problem and it was fixed, what was it that they replaced?

Dealer did not believe the car issues with my first complaint. I had to make videos in order for them to believe me. They made me come back with videos and they finally decided to test it. They found the problem and they replaced the transmission. I don't know if it was new or used. The job was done with only 7500 miles. The car still has issues when goes up hills. It's not strong enough anymore. It feels like I have an old car. It makes rattling noises when goes up hill and you can feel when it changes gears.

Purchased Rouge 2015 SV AWD trim. Vibration started in traffic, the steering wheel and gas pedal vibrate. Also the car vibrates at stop when idle. Dealer adjusted the idle RPM but vibration in cabin is still noticeable. During acceleration the vehicle has some noise from the floor and steering wheel vibrates. Gas pedal vibrates and it goes trough my foot, very unpleasant to drive. Dealer admits to the problems but has no solution and promises to work with Nissan to fix it, nothing in writing on the repair record, just emails. Apparently, there are complains from other customers starting with the 2014 model. Nissan chooses to do nothing. Work orders says "no problem found". I need help with this situation from Nissan.

My sig other owns the vehicle but I drive it most of the time. I immediate noticed a slight vibration when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd ( I know it's a CVT but that is an estimate of when it occurs ). Now at times, although intermittent, it shakes pretty violently and I immediately take my foot off the gas pedal. This is new but I had brought the vibration problem to their attention right away.

The other problem which plagued us during the winter was no shifting out of first when the temperature was under 50 degrees until the car warmed up. What I found by accident one day was that I had started the car, moved it about 50 feet but then shut it off because I had left something home. When I restarted the car, even though it was still cold, even when it was 30 degrees, the transmission shifted fine. It needed a second start. Seems like a hardware/software problem to me. Nissan says the transmission is fine. It's not. To get around the cold weather problem, I will restart the car. As for the vibration problem, we will have to wait until it fails to get Nissan to repair or replace it. What bothers me is the fact that they know about this problem and either don't want to admit it or don't know how to rectify it.

Update from Oct 14, 2015: I'm not happy about the problem but other than that, I love the car. However, since there is a problem which they don't want to recognize, I would not buy another vehicle from them nor recommend them.

Shortly after purchasing this brand new 2015 Nissan Rogue, I noticed annoying vibrations through the steering wheel at low RPM (1200 - 1500) and low speed. I asked the dealer to test drive it and they reported it was just normal CVT transmission harmonics, or something like that.

I then did some research on the internet and discovered that others had complaints about this in the past years and that Nissan had been made aware of it, and apparently chose to do nothing about it. There is even a Youtube video out there showing vibrations of a Rogue up on a lift running with the drive enabled. Also, there is a NY times article (2008) regarding a Rogue test drive titled "Whole Lot of Shakin" and a Nissan spokesman contacted after their test drive who acknowledges the vibration and it shows that Nissan is aware of this and chose to leave it alone (do nothing).

This is really an annoyance, and I might have a unit (FWD) that is on the worst end of the spectrum, but if I had known that it was going to perform like this, I wouldn't have bought it. Doing a pre-purchase test drive doesn't necessarily reveal such things, as one is concentrating on so many things. Also, I did not test drive the particular unit I bought, but another one. After one drives a unit for a while, these kinds things show up. I initially thought it was just road-induced vibrations, but it was happening on smooth roads, also.
