I have taken my 2019 Nissan Roque to the following dealership to place my complaint regarding the defective paint and/or sealant on my vehicle:

Tristate Nissan 1230 Millwood Pike Winchester, VA 22602

My reports of numerous premature paint flecks were reported on my invoice at checkout by Nissan as rock chips and not covered by warranty. I asked who I could appeal this decision to, Nissan advised me to contact Nissan Consumer Affairs.

Nissan Consumer Affairs referred back to the dealership. Then they sent me an email telling it needed more investigation and Nissan was assigning me a regional specialist. The specialist called and stated she talked to the dealership and it was "normal wear and tear" and was not covered by warranty. Nissan Consumer Affairs did not investigate, did not ask to inspect my vehicle, just repeated what the dealership said. there is nothing "Normal" about this paint coming off my vehicle and reducing the value of my car significantly as time passes. The specialist then sent me another email advised me of the address I could send the name of the attorney who be representing me.

I now find on the internet that Nissan has been aware of the paint issues for years, but has decided to continue to sell their vehicles to the public without warning the buyers.

I do not go 4 wheeling or follow dump trucks full of rock debris falling. This is your everyday, winter, spring, summer and fall weather and road conditions with rain, snow, winds that my Nissan cannot hold up to. I did not buy the vehicle to put into a garage and never drive. I have never had a vehicle’s paint underperform like this. The paint on a vehicle is expected to last years if not decades.

I would like Nissan to remedy this poor paint application or buy the vehicle back at my full purchase price.
