After an oil change at a Certified Nissan dealership, the left rear seat belt sensor was indicating on the dash board that someone was sitting in there and was strapped, so the light had a green check, but there was no one in that seat plus the seat belt was not even strapped. The next day, the front passenger seat belt also went awry. With no one in the seat, the seat belt sensor started beeping which means it believed someone was in that seat unstrapped, but again, no one was in it. I have only ownes the car for 4 months, the car is clean and there is no debris in the seat belt latch system. There is definitely something wrong with the seatbelt sensors.

The vehicle was taken to the same dealer three times, where the computer programming was reset. Additionally, the dealer test drove the vehicle for approximately 400 miles but was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,288.
