The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and decelerated to 2 MPH. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the axle seals were leaking, and that the Lane Departure system had failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred two days later, nearly causing the vehicle to crash with another vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V438000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), which the contact related to the failure; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
